Price & Information Disclaimer

1. What this document is

This disclaimer forms part of the Terms of Use of Shapo (the "Service"), operated by Shapo ("we", "us"). It explains where the information in the Service comes from, what its limits are, and what you must check yourself before relying on it. Please read it together with the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

2. Where the information comes from

The Service gathers price and product information automatically, by software, from a wide range of publicly available sources across the internet — among them retailers' websites and online stores, and other public or third-party sources. The kinds of information collected are prices, promotions, availability indications, delivery fees and product details such as names, barcodes, categories, descriptions and images. Sources change, do not always agree with one another and update on their own schedules, and each source alone is responsible for what it publishes.

We do not set, control, verify or guarantee any of this information. Errors, omissions and delays in the sources flow through to the Service exactly as they are.

3. Why the price you see may differ from the price you pay

Even when our data is complete and current, the price at the store can differ from what the Service shows. Among other reasons:

• Timing. Prices are collected periodically, not in real time. A retailer may change a price, start or end a promotion, or update stock at any moment after our last collection.
• Online store vs. branch. A chain's online store usually has prices, promotions and an assortment different from its branches. The Service shows each channel's own price where it can tell them apart; if you see another price at the branch, both can be right.
• Branch and region. Prices, promotions and delivery fees differ between branches and between delivery areas of the same chain. The Service estimates which branch or online store serves your address; the retailer decides which one actually does.
• Promotions and club prices. Many promotions depend on quantity, membership of the chain's loyalty club, payment method, expiry dates or other conditions. The Service tries to apply only promotions that clearly apply to your basket, but it may apply one that does not, or miss one that does. A loyalty-club price may be shown even if you are not a member.
• Weighed and variable-weight products. Fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese and similar products are priced per kilogram; the amount you actually receive, and therefore the price, is set at weighing by the retailer.
• Product matching. The Service matches products across chains by barcode, name, brand and size. A match may be wrong: a different size, pack count, flavour or variant may be compared, or handed to the store, as if it were the product you chose. Multi-packs and unit prices may be misread.
• Availability. A product shown as available may be out of stock, delisted or not sold online at the branch that serves you, and the reverse. Live stock checks are indications only.
• Delivery fees, minimum orders and service charges are estimates. The retailer sets them at checkout.
• Product images and descriptions are for illustration only. The product on the shelf may differ in packaging, size or version from its picture.
• Suggested replacements. When an item is not sold at a store, the Service may suggest similar products. They are suggestions only — check that a replacement is what you want before you accept it.
• Rounding. Totals are rounded and may differ by small amounts from the retailer's total.

4. Shapo is not a store

The Service compares prices and helps you prepare a shopping cart. It does not sell products, does not process payments and is not a party to any purchase. When you choose a store, the Service hands your cart to that retailer's own website or app — by opening a pre-filled cart link, or by opening the retailer's site inside the app so that you can complete the purchase there. From that moment:

• the retailer's own terms of sale, privacy policy, delivery terms, and cancellation and return policy apply;
• the retailer alone decides the price, availability, substitutions, delivery slots and fees;
• items the retailer cannot sell may be dropped or replaced, and quantities may change;
• any order confirmation, receipt, invoice or warranty comes from the retailer, not from us;
• where the retailer requires you to sign in, the cart is filled in your name and in your own account at that retailer, at your instruction.

An order shown in the Service's "Orders" screen is our record of the hand-off, not the retailer's confirmation that an order was placed or accepted. Check your order in your account at the retailer.

5. Automated and AI-generated content

Comparisons, rankings, "cheapest store" results, product matches, suggested replacements, estimated savings and reports are produced automatically by software — and in some features by artificial-intelligence models. Automated systems make mistakes: they may match the wrong product, miscalculate a promotion, or rank a store on incomplete data. Nothing the Service produces is advice, and no result should be relied on without checking it. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.

6. Independence; retailer names, logos and images

Shapo is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or approved by any retailer or manufacturer, and has no commercial partnership with any chain shown in it unless expressly stated. Retailer names, logos, product names, images and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are shown solely to identify the products and stores being compared. Their appearance in the Service does not mean that any retailer or manufacturer endorses the Service or has approved the information shown about it. If you are a rights holder and believe that content should be removed or corrected, write to shapo.app@gmail.com.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the information is accurate, complete, current or fit for any purpose, and we are not liable for any loss, expense or damage arising from reliance on the Service — including paying more than expected, missing a promotion, buying the wrong product, a failed or partial cart hand-off, or a retailer's refusal to honour a price shown here. Nothing in this document limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981.

8. Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking the information before you rely on it, for the purchases you make, and for complying with the retailer's terms. If you notice a price or product error, please report it to shapo.app@gmail.com — it helps every user.

9. Changes

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The version and effective date appear at the top of the page; the current version is always available in the app under Account → Legal & privacy, and at https://shapo.store/legal/disclaimer.

10. Language

This disclaimer is published in Hebrew and in English. In case of any inconsistency between the versions, the Hebrew version prevails.
